4-H Recordbook System Issues

Last week we were notified by Sarah Womble, District 10 4-H Specialist, that glitches are being reported in the online 4-H Recordbook system.  There are issues with the system not printing complete sections of the recordbooks.  At the current time, we recommend that you use the Microsoft Word templates this year until the problems with the online system are worked out.  Next year you should be able to cut and paste your records from the Word documents onto the online system with no problems.  If you are having problems, let us know, but don't wait until the last minute to prepare your recordbooks!

District 4-H Recordbook Judging

District 4-H Recordbook Judging will be held July 12 at Mansfield Park Recreation Center in Bandera  (2886 Hwy. 16 North in Bandera).  Registration begins at 9 a.m., with orientation beginning at 9:30 a.m.  Judges (adults and senior 4-H members) are needed to assist with judging recordbooks.  Lunch will be provided for recordbook judges.  If you are interested in judging at District, please let us know by June 25.

County 4-H Recordbook Judges needed

County 4-H Recordbook Judging will be held Monday, July 2, 2012 at the Comal County Extension meeting room in New Braunfels.  Adult leaders, volunteers, parents and senior 4-H members are needed to assist with judging 4-H recordbooks.  (Youth judges will be paired with adult judges.)  Lunch will be provided for recordbook judges.  Orientation will begin at 9:00 a.m.  Please RSVP to the Extension office by June 25 to let us know if you would like to judge at county.  Remember, the best way to learn how to complete a recordbook is to judge- you'll get lots of new ideas!

Photography Leadership Opportunity

Everyone is invited to meet at 5:00 on June 5th at the Extension Office to plan photography workshops.  I know there are some who can’t make it that day but are still interested in getting leadership.  If that’s you, let me know what you are interested in – teaching, setting up a tour, etc. and I’ll include that in the planning.

If there is something photography related that you want to learn about, let me know.

Those of you that can meet at 5:00 on June 5th, please bring ideas and be ready to brainstorm!
